PURPOSE:
This document goes over the process of resetting an Amazon WorkSPaces user profile in the event of a critical failure with M365 Products or specific applications appdata that constitutes a rebuild. Any Deviations from standard operating procedures must be authorized by Senior Cloud Engineer staff.

DEFINITIONS:
-EC2: Elastic Cloud compute - the server hosting profiles
CONSIDERATIONS:
Has the user confirmed that their data has been saved, if they are having OneDrive issues, is there an alternate location for them to save their data so we can perform this operation?
ASSUMPTIONS:
The reported error is confirmed a repeat error and requires rebuild.
The user has saved all data into alternate locations if needed to. THIS MAY RESULT IN DATA LOSS IF NOT PERFORMED PROPERLY
The end user has been informed they will need to relog into all applications.
POLICIES AND PROCEDURES:
1. Advise the user to end their session
- To Disconnect on the top right, click the User Icon and click End Session

2. Launch your file explorer and browse to \\ksmawsshares02\enterprise-pools

3. Here you will see everyones profiles, locate your user to delete.
If you see anymore than the two virtual disk, typically with a “.metadata” or RW virtual disk. That means the user is logged in, or currently merging the disk. Check VMware Horizon admin to verify the user is not logged in. Below is what the folder should be contain.

Delete the whole folder, and have the user log back in. Verify that the profile shows backup.
NOTE: They will need to relog into all applications.
